Instructions for CVPR 2005 Presentations
Instructions for Oral Presentations
By now, you should have decided which of the authors of your paper will speak. Here is what the speaker needs to know:
- Session: Check the CVPR Advance Program web page for the day, time and session of your presentation.
- Timing: Each speaker is allowed 15 minutes of presentation time.
Session chairs are instructed to cut off speakers that exceed their time limit. Session chairs will then allow some time for questions. We strongly suggest that you practice and time your talk before coming to the meeting to make sure your talk is not too long.
- Important: Please be at your meeting room at least 15 minutes before the start of your session. Introduce yourself to your session chair, get any last-minute instructions from him/her, and make sure your laptop works. In particular, all speakers must verify before the session begins that the laptop & projector work together. Timing is tight and therefore delays in setting up your laptop after the session starts will decrease the time you have for your talk!
- Presentation aids: Each presentation room with have a laptop projector available. The laptop projectors have a maximum resolution of 1280x1024 (SXGA). The laptop projector's input is a 15 pin VGA port.
If you need a VCR or overhead projector, please contact us
here.
- Meeting rooms: You can find the floorplan and pictures of the meeting spaces here. Oral 'X.1' Sessions will be held in the Aviary Ballroom (combining sections Toucan, Macaw and Cockatoo). Oral 'X.2' sessions will be held in the Kon Tiki Ballroom.
- Font size: Note that presentation rooms will be up to 85 feet long (26m). You must therefore make sure to use large enough fonts so that your slides are readable from the back of the room. In particular, please keep font sizes to 22pt or larger.
- Speaker Prep Room: Boardroom West will be available to authors that wish to practice their talk on-site.
- Wireless ethernet: Wireless ethernet connectivity will be available throughout the building, including the session rooms.
Instructions for Poster Presentations
